Cleaning the glass of a painting:

Option 1:

  • Remove dust with a feather duster.
  • Dip a clean cloth in hot water, then dip it in alcohol. Wring out the cloth until it is completely wrung out.
  • Gently clean the glass with the help of the cloth.
  • Immediately afterwards pass a dry chamois and pass it over the glass until you get the perfect finish .

Option 2:

  • Use a feather duster to remove dust .
  • Spray a little glass cleaner on a cloth or rag.
  • Gently clean the glass.
  • With a dry chamois, go over the surface of the glass.

Clean frames in gold Print or gold:

  • Remove dust with the help of a duster.
  • Create a weak solution of ammonia and water (a few drops of ammonia dissolved in a large amount of water).
  • Clean the frame with a cloth slightly moistened with this solution.
  • Leave to act for a few moments so that the dirt softens, and repeat the operation.
  • Gently rub dry with a soft, dry chamois.

Cleaning wooden frames:

  • Remove dust with a feather duster.
  • Create a mixture of water with a diluted mild soap.
  • Dip a clean cloth and wring out completely.
  • Clean the frame gently.
  • Dry with a soft, dry cloth.
  • For a perfect finish , a very thin layer of colorless wax can be applied with the help of a small brush and go over with a sponge so that a natural shine remains (except in the case of lacquered wood).

Cleaning metal/plastic frames:

  • Remove dust with the help of a duster.
  • Dip a clean cloth in clean water, and wring out completely.
  • Gently clean the frame .
  • Dry with a clean, dry chamois.
