Technique
Donna Weathers' technique is characterized by a combination of spontaneity and control, where the paint comes to life through expressive and gestural strokes. She uses mainly charcoal, black and white paint and raw materials, applying them with brushes, palettes or even scraping the surface to reveal hidden layers. Her process is organic, with each piece evolving intuitively, letting textures and shapes emerge fluidly. Weathers eschews precise detail, allowing color and movement to guide the work, creating a sense of depth and energy that invites interpretation from the viewer.
